  • Camera's constantly needing reset

I'm hoping someone here can help give me some advice. I work at a bowling alley and have been there over 4 years now. I'm not the mechanic but I have worked in every area at my alley due to the way my manager schedules as few people as possible and it's necessary for me to run 3 things at once sometimes!

Our problem is that we have a 12 lane alley and for some reason the camera's down at lanes 11/12 are constantly needing to be reset in Conquerer. We have tried swapping the camera unit with another lanes', doing a hard reset down at the camera's themselves, but they are still consistently misreading the pins and giving wrong scores.

Has anyone had this issue or have any advice for what we can do? They have sort of given up trying to find a way to fix it and now we just make sure that every day we start off by resetting the cameras and they (sometimes) work properly for the entire day.

    Thanks in advance!

By resetting, do you mean the little white boxes over the pins? If this is the case either your cappings are loose, or your cameras aren't screwed down properly. If the picture is poor, you need to re-adjust the camera lens, there are two adjustments, one for light, one for focus. Hope this is a good place to start for you.

Check the pin deck lights. Or something shiny on the curtain or kickbacks ( something constent to the pair)

it is suggested that after you get your camera adjusted that you place electrical tape or something similar to prevent vibrations from adjusting the camera for you.
When you know what to do, everything is easy.

one of the best things ivve done is to take some hot glue and hot glue everything in to place. we had a few cameras get moved by our open play bowlers constantly hitting the gutters at the camera and it would get them a little loose. after i hot glued them in place as well as the ball sencors no more problems.

When I worked with qubica we had a camera in a pair which used to drift. It's been a while but from what I remember, when we looked at the camera image on the front desk, the little white boxes used to drift from the pins. In the end we sent the camera away.

Do you know how to check what the camera sees from the front desk.

If you have plastic gutters and or capping, I suggest you look to see if the camera base is grounded to something to dispurse static hits from the ball rolling down the gutter next to the camera.
