Does anyone know if Qubica/AMF steam cleans refurbished machines before painting them? If so, I'm wondering if this process could damage and /or rust out bearings and assemblies.
Also wondering exactly what refurbished is supposed to include. Besides the new motors and electrical on these, do they check and replace old bearings and main assemblies such as pit rollers, PBLs, Light ball sensors, table drive shafts, etc. Thanks,

    Chris

Drill should be able to answer your question as that is the machine he bought from AMF a few years back I believe.

The ones here are usually sand/bead blasted rather than steam cleaned....

Drill did indeed get rebuilt 70XLi's a few years back, but I don't know how they were cleaned. I belive I have seen a pic somewhere showing machines being cleaned with steam. I would think the water woud or could get in bearings and kill them in a hurry, but I would think the machines would be mostly disassembled before cleaning.

This is correct! The front end is completely stripped prior to the steam clean and the painting.

I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches
I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...

          4:1 Timing off..

          *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

          Turret clutch rebuild

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

          Thanks...
