  • King tip of the day - Chassis plugs

I use a wire tie rather than the nuts and U bolts to clamp wires on the C1 plugs.

It is much quicker to get in if you have an issue - and I had a bad socket today on lane 1

Just clip the wire tie and you are in

When finished just re-install a wire tie

We do exactly the same here King. Once that U bolt comes off for a pin or block change it stays off!

Amen King. I have been doing that for a long time now.

This would also prevent those little screws from coming off from vibration and landing on a terminal strip below, nothing like the smell of a burnt capacitor or a machine acting funny for no apparent reason just because a little nut got loose.

                I hate when that happens.

Glad to see all your retainer clips are mounted on the connectors. Folks don't realize how important it is to keep those in repair so the connections don't vibrate.

I rebuilt all the plugs two summers ago

This is the first chassis plug I have opened up in 2 years

whats with the push button next to the power plug? never seen that before.
Sometimes we have to do stuff to get by....Just go back and do it right when the "by" has passed!!

Cycle button....ran the wires down to the terminal strip in the correct place...makes sweep cam adjustments a snap

I've posted before about wanting to try and figure out how to fix these trigger boards we have. I'm trying to map the thing out and create a schematic, but it's slow going, especially...
