  • Sweep Coasting

This is a problem that I just had at work. The sweep is coasting down for some strange reason. When it goes to guard position it drifts back and causes an interlock. When I got it raised again it coasted back halfway down. I checked the C-1 plugs and they looked fine though I am not an expert on those. I just had that chassis on the lane beside it and it worked perfectly fine on it, but as soon as I put it back on its original lane the sweep began to coast. Our machines run on MP chassis. I am not the most experienced in the back especially when it comes to chassis so any help would be great just break it down as much as possible for me. Thanks in advance
It only took two years and two new owners to finally be allowed to come in and work on lanes before we open........

Its possible a Pin got pushed in on Chassie side or Machine Side of the C1 Plug...

most likely they are right its in the c1 plug or the contacts in the chasis. only other areas are the cam settings or the breaks in the moter.

I now know for sure there is a c1 plug that is pushing in or something because I ran the sweep motor off of the table power cable and no drift in it at all. So it is either the c1 or a contact somewhere

If the pin is pushing in, there's your problem. replace the pin & if the new one doesn't stay put - replace the whole block (one pin at a time!)
Don't forget to eyeball the machine end C1.
I've had enough of hope & chains.

Come to find out it was a capacitor issue

                      Good morning,
I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches
