Have a machine where it will not cycle from SS switch, 10th frame switch, mechanic control box, ball detector. Change chassis, rebuilt C1 plug, have MP chassis with frameworks scoring.

Have you checked the thermal reset on the motor to see if it is tripped. Might also check the machine side plug and wires for breaks. Might check the A/MC plug on the side of the wire way channel. Just thinking of the little simple stuff first. Fuses on chassis, terminal connections in back control panel, maybe a flaky switch.

Yesterday while working on a shuttle issue, the black sweep switch on contol panel decided it was it's last go! Try jumper across the two wires. (pretty odd one)

You can rule out instructomat by pulling the wires of the A&MC terminals 5 and 6 that go across the curtain wall to the black box. Then, scoring on/off won't have any of the control desk circuitry involved.

Had a no cycle issue due to a ground somewhere in the instructomat circuit. Would not cycle even with A&MC plug disconnected and jumpered. Only solution was to disconnect grey wire from T2 secondary. This allowed machine to cycle normally. Still haven't found where the short to ground is.

Is the sweep contactor energizing? Or lighting up if you have bowltronics?

I would think it is on practise either thro scoring or at frameter.
Do as Ted says and ensure that the two pink wires from terminals 5 and 6 are removed from the A & M C box and not connected to any other wires. Touch them together and if machine comes on and you can cylce it, It proves that it is an instructomat problem.
