hey guys just want your oipinion and i know im opining a can of worms here but where i work our owner owns a huge metal shop here in San Fran and can litterally make anything i want. Ive been having him make a few things for our center with pretty good success. i have a few pics but just cant seen to get the links to work on here. if any one could post them that would be awesome. we arent looking to sell these things as most of them are in a trial stage but can you think of anything in our machines that could use some beefing up?

I would say mostly pit and bin stuff, the parts that really get beat up.

      Pit supports/angles
      Bounceboard channels
      Both plows
      Cushion weld
      Cushion boxes
      Pin guides/butt guides/stringers
      Shuttle straps

Can't say I've really had any abnormal breaking of the rest of the parts in that list

How about the shuttle mounting brackets? Also, the part of the kidney that the pins ride on. A little over a year ago we straightened all of pin contact area as it was wavy, but it didn't last very long as it is wavy again.

I do not recommend using them - there can be clearance issues with them - they can hit the cups while shuttling

Really???...OK, then keep replacing those AMF pieces of crap when they break.

If you don't have pins in the table they break less - it takes less than 5 minutes to replace....the shuttle straps banging into the cups when shuttling is a far worse issue than a broken strap

Actually my boss just ordered some but I haven't put them on anything yet. I looked at them and they are definitely beefier looking. I'm not worried about shuttle strap-to-cup clearance as they don't look any taller than the AMF ones and I don't have any cups that would be touching them- so not an issue here.

AMF straps are horrible. I started installing Stahls and not one has broke.
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, use a bowling pin.

You lose less than 3/8" clearance. Total replacement time...0 minutes...Cuz they don't break.

Why did AMF change the style of the shuttle straps from this shape ] ? The current style always break where they're stressed and bent on the ends in manufacturing. It seems to me that the old style wouldn't have that problem, although I've never used them since they've been obsolete for a long time now.

The new rounded style also makes it hard to get a good grip with a socket.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

                              Thanks...

Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
