The parts that aren't supposed to get lubed up are soaked, and the ones that are, are still thirsty. LOL

Last night my pinny decided a chassis needed to be swapped so he grabbed one and hooked it up. I get a call from him saying there are no more working chassis so he is downing a lane for the night. I know I have 3 spares that are tested and ready to go but he says there are none so I drive 30 minutes to see what he is talking about. He grabbed my only nonworking chassis I keep stored on a top shelf 8' off the floor which is clearly labeled "For parts only". My spares I have hanging on hooks on the curtain wall . I asked him what encouraged him to go up front, get the 10' step ladder, carry it all the way to the back, climb said ladder and grab this chassis which clearly has a bright red tag on it saying its for parts only. He replied "I was showing some independent thought." For the first time in nearly 50 years I was speechless.

Wow, the horror of that clutch! I soiled myself a little just looking at those pics! I guess at least it was not antiseize- seen that mess before.

Umm, what could you possibly say to that?

Wow, I think after hearing that I would just stare at him for about 5 seconds, and then just walk away dumbfounded

This definitely deserves one of these.....

Or better yet, one of these...

I don't think he knew it was wrong. We have all done silly things in our lives. Sit him down and train him the way you do things and this wont happen again.
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, use a bowling pin.

In the last 11 years experienced 3 times a lubed clutch by a pinchaser. I rest my case, it's difficult to train and learn pinchasers. You can not look in someones brain !

but a size 13 boot with the proper application of force to the backside well, that and placing color coded labels on everything, and a good walk through tour help. Hey PC i think that clutch needs some grease on the tripblades.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
