    what causes the sweep to calspe over the back of the pin deck

    It sounds like the 10" rod is out of adjustment.

      Too much travel to the back and/or it's dragging or getting caught behind the pindeck - or - idiot bowlers hit the sweep knocking it behind the pindeck. The sweep should NEVER travel beyond the pindeck, it only needs to go back far enough to sweep pins off placed as far back as possible on the corners, anymore than that and it can collapse into the pit.

        Sweeps adjusted and maintained correctly will end up in the pit at times, when idiots bowl 15lb balls into them at just the right moment!

        4:1 Timing off..

        *sigh* Hello friends..

        I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
