  • Yoke spring / table leg fix

    1. The hole for the yoke spring over time wears out
    2. I use the 070002577 Stud that goes through the table and drill through the leg
    3. Grind off old hole
    4. I start with a small drill and work my way up to a 5/16 - drill hole as close to web in table leg as possible
    5. Install the 2577 stud through the hole with a lock nut and flat washer on the back
    6. Easier and more permanent than swapping table legs

I like to put a drop of oil there, every couple of months to help reduce the friction between the leg and spring.

That is a great fix! I was working on using a U-Bolt cause I was concerned about the integrity of the leg, but kept running into walls.

You can also drill another hole for the spring only if there is enough "meat" in the leg.

If it cant be fixed with a hammer, use a bowling pin.

We inherited some complete tables and one of them has this fix on it.
