THE BLACK CAM
I recently got the chance to take a couple shots of the edge black cam. I have a shot of each side and some vids, for some reason not to good in quality, of a running dist. with one on. To watch it run, you really see no big difference between the two. there is a lot smoother 3 to 2 and it looks like when it stops along the back row, it might go out a little farther. I'll let yoy all be the judge. Will try and get them up in two or three days.Tags: None

I couldnt see much of anything in that first video. The 2nd one really showed how smooth it indexes though. Sweet its black! the color they all turn anyway!
Can someone in the know say if this part will be retrofit? I believe it has been stated the pinwheel will not mount to older machines. When you know what to do, everything is easy.

It seems like it moves back from the 2 to the 4 a lot quicker. or am I just seeing things? If thats the case id be interested in using them on my 70sGiving bowlers less to complain about, one lane at a time

I believe the cam II is being tested right now on 70's with steel bins. I don't know if the benefits of replacement will justify the cost. The EDGE lift has been retrofitted to 70's. It is not a simple swap out however, and is expected (by me) to be quite costly. The reason I say that is because of what people were telling me when the durabin was first released. The decision to make an upgrade kit for a 70 has not yet been made (but is under consideration).

So maybe a way could be thought up on how to lower the disributor to allow for the drop out of the pinwheel onto a fixed pan. Set up the distributor kind of like a brunswick cross conveyor where the pin would have to be caried up a little bit. Im no engineer though so i dont know if that would even be possible. And grip with the distributor belt would be a big deal with a setup like that
I'm working on a prototype as we speak...'Cept I'm trying to make it bolt-on, without changing any other components.I can't even spell Brunsw-ick anymore!!!

4:1 Timing off..
*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
