  • Pincup yoke help!!!

    ive got a lane that everytime on spot the whole yoke jerks really hard, making the pins shake and the 8-pin falls everytime. all spring are in place and seem ok.. no play in the lightning rod. when i move the yoke by hand it feels smooth and normal. need to fix this asap!!!

    Have you checked your table adjustments?

      most of them. havent gone thru the whole table tho... are there specific ones i should do or just go thru them all?

        its level and right height from the deck.. its just that the whole yoke jerks really hard. moves back and up as normal but its not smooth at all

          Check your 3 yoke springs?? maybe incorrectly adjusted or worse broken...

              I have had 1 or 2 here at my centre that looked ok because the cup was stopping it from moving but on further inspection was snapped in the middle of the coil.
              AS REQUESTED....The all new and VERY improved "super cool" Pin_Head with super hip shades.....

                Sounds like a cup is catching on the yoke on its way forward. Crank the table into spot mode and check all the cups for clearance.

                  Does it jerk when the cups tilt forward or when the yoke backs away?

                      I'd check the spot cam, roller bearing, and all up-line linkages.


                      I've had instance where the cam shifted and the roller was rubbing the re-spot lobe.

                        4:1 Timing off..
