Poly V and weather
Has anybody else had this problem besides me? In the cold of winter some of the poly V dist belts were so tight that I almost could not pin them together with the belt tension spring off.I also had to run the distributor with no linear spring to keep the clutch at an acceptable tightness but as soon as the heat of summer showed up in my pit those same belts were now loose and needed the spring put back on or the carriage would stay all the way back after the 9 pinThis was a real bother as at the beginning of the cold, hot, hot cold of spring could not make up its mind the spring was on and off and on to keep the dist running right.

*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
