  • Klixon/overload switches

I'm a little lost. Does anyone have any documentation on what klixons go with what motor. I have like 5-6 sitting on my bench and all I have is the number on the bottom to go off of. I wish I could just compare to other motors but I tried that and found different motors using the same klixons. So I can't trust the shady work before me obviously. I need to know which ones go with Westinghouse and ge combo and back end motors. I don't need amfs part number. I need the number that's printed on the switch itself

on my national combos the bottom says MEF18EB. know that you said westinghouse and ge but thought id throw that out there in case those numbers mean anything on those motors
    watch out, they're everywhere!

They all had different ones but Stahl's sells one that are suppose to be universal.

There is a listing of the various klixons in the Top Parts catalog, but it doesn't reference manufactures ID's, just the AMF part number. MEF18EB is for a national combo motor (785 502 005)

Is it at all possible you could pull one of each off the shelf and reference what id goes with what part number? I just need some kinda reference so I know what one goes with what number/motor. I don't want to have to order one of each just to figure this out
