hi , soooooooo ....
we have mp chassies and on this particular one each time i put it on ( on maintenance and turn on form desk ) the CB3 Fuse pops out . i have changed one of the capacitor's ( the single one on its own ) and now the fuse does not pop BUT nothing else works , the pin deck light comes on but i cannot cycle from the back or the chassie and the pit does not come on .
the capacitor is an old one , but not sure i'm looking in the right place .

CB3 is connected to the 24VAC source (T1 secondary) to the table & sweep contactors. Sounds like a wire may be pinched or is touching something it shouldn't be.

aha see we knew it was t1 sec but couldn't figure out what / where that goes / was for .

Run a new wire from the fuse to the contactors (and check the connections on the original wire). M Relay base may need checking/changing as well. Any work been done on it recently?
hey will ( why r u not here helping me lol )
on the otiginal chassie found a broken wire so have left that to one side to be fixed . tried a spare chassie ( which is known to work ) and turn on and it still $%^& pops .
work recently done ......
1, new capacitor
2, off spot switch disconnected
3, c2 plug , re did some of the wires - thinking they may not have gone back in the correct hole !!!!

Compare the wiring to the contactors to one that is working. Just get a meter and check that the wires are indeed going to where they belong. BTW- the coil wires on the contactors vary depending who made them. Most are marked A1 & A2, some are not. CB4 is only for the juice to the T & S contactors.
might have cracked it today thanks to will ..... turned it on but without the sweep motor connected and ta da it didn't pop . so will be re wireing the sweep motor plug tomoz

UPDATE - Went in today to further help with this problem. Fitted a new plug to the sweep as the old one seemed rather worn. Still no joy. Decided to start going back over all the work that had been already done. The original problem had been the sweep doing some funky stuff. During the diagnosing of this, the plug had been found to have a loose wire which was repaired, the automatic offspot kit was disconnected and the sweep reverse and sweep on/off switches were replaced. Decided to hook the offspot back up to see what happened. Upon doing so, discovered that the wires on the sweep on/off switch had been put the wrong way round. Swapped these over, and HEY PRESTO! All is good again. Well, apart from a dodgy microswitch on the offspot switch (left that disconnected for now).
all that sorted ran for about 6 hours and then as if by magic another problem accours
it will spot pins even when ther is no pin in the 9 pin bin !!! we have looked at the wires to the bin switch and all appear to be good changed the switch itself but it still does it

Good morning, I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
Working...
