We tend to give AMF a ton-O-crap for their design of some things. (like the LBS for one)

But THIS! THIS is a stroke of genius!

(Folks with 82-70s may want to hit the back button now. )

    How COOL IS THAT?!?!

This was just a simple job. The pinwheel pulley had come loose and buggered itself to the shaft. I was having a hard time getting it to line back up with the key-way. I was prepared to remove the chassis and chassis bracket. I remembered someone had told me how easy the 90 pinwheel swings open, so... what the heck, I'll try it.
After removing only 5 bolts (2 pinwheel mount pins, 2 dizzy support, 1 BR spring stay), the pinwheel opens up like a free swinging door.
Talk about easy access! Very neat indeed.

PinCup's official 'Atta Boy' to the techs at AMF for this design.

Yeah it is pretty awesome, makes doing a pit much nicer because the elevator can be swung out of the way. Looks real good PC.

I wonder if they will eventually add this feature to the new elevator since it has to be removed to get to the rear roller.

Alright, I might be jealous just a little itty-bitty-teeny-tiny bit.

That is a sweet bit. I can't really be that envious as we only have 32 inches behind the machines here. But I am totally envious of the roadway you've got behind your machines. WOW!

With the way I run my LED deck lamps, the red pins don't read well. I'll need to paint the heads white.

Nice but I would never be able to do that.I have exactly 32" between back wall and pinwheel now.
It's tight hope I don't gain any more weight

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
