  • 82/70 B Locked In Instructomat

The machine will not come out of instructomat with the manager's control completely disconnected. Switched chassis, Went from Single board to the 5 Board system thats how we found out it was locked in instructomat with the 1 board bulb indicator on. Unplugged the A-MC Plug, Made a jumper wire to plug it into direct 110 and was still locked in instructomat, What could cause this problem? We have bypassed this through the chassis off of the T1.

We have Elco Chassis Converted to Single Board, With the MK-70 Board for the short cycle & strike cycle, With Qubica Scoring Interfaced with the chassis/pinsetter.

    Any guesses??

As long as you do not need instructomat....plug the grey wire off of the T2 Transformer and tape it up with electical tape. This will keep an elco chassis from going into instructomat.

We already did that, But we were curious why this all of the sudden popped up, And why it happened or what caused it? We no longer use instructomat for shadow bowling. Thanks!

You have have swapped chassis and the problem still exists - you have issue in the machine - assuming you have unplugged the AMC box

Yes sir, We have swapped chassis with the adjoining lanes, And have unplugged the A-MC box, Know we have a machine issue but have not been able to pin down where its coming from, The machine works fine with the By-Passed chassis we were just curious if anyone else had this problem and diagnosed it in the machine rather than bypassing it with the chassis wiring.

Just a thought, but could the CB on the rear panel at terms a and b come into play on this?

I don't see how, Considering the up front switch's instructomat has been disconnected inside the box, Could see it if the switch up there were still connected.

Changed the whole Chassis, And the problem still stayed, So its in the machine wiring somewhere, Just not sure where else to look.

Swapped the whole Chassis, So its not the Chassis itself, Probably wiring in the machine, But not sure where to look, lol

I'd start with the C2A and work back. Sorry, ment to say, and good luck.

Ok so something in the Manager's Control circuit, on the machine is grounding, maybe from the A&MC plug on the machine to the chassis (or maybe in the plug itself), front wireway- are the masking unit switch wires damaged or shorting- grounding this will cause I-O-M. If you have a switch in the rear control box that turns on the machine in the back, like the masking unit switch, damaged or grounding wires with it can cause the same thing.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
