MP board scores foul always

I have several boards that show foul on Advantage when bowled on each time, but don't sweep off the spare.

boards are Mark 5.

Anyone know what he problem is?

Try adding a 1K (1000 ohm) 1/2 watt resistor in line (in series) with the APS socket - pin 1 in the chassis and see if it goes away.

We were advised to disconnect the wire and the problem went away, we've done this on 2 or 3 machines now. We've not had any other issues. My main concern was the wire is there for a reason.

I had this problem with as+ and (only) MK5 boards. Jon's suggestion worked for me

I have magicscore. When we changed from Mod IV to one with only 1st and 2nd ball lights, we had the same problem. For us, it was the scoring needed to see the foul light lights (on the mask) to not give a foul. To stop the fouls I put a resistor and a terminal strip, mounted to the curtain wall, and ran the wires into the mask plug where the normal foul light would be. No more trouble for us.
