old style trip rod
Does anyone make this heavy, solid feeling trip rod tube for distributors anymore? I just found one on a distributor i just removed for service. There is no wear or pitting like the lighter, newer style gets.Tags: None

Not sure honestly bud. We always got them from AMF. When I left in '09 I liked the ones they were sending. They weren't really beefy like the old ones we had but they went back to the bolt in the rear where it connected to the stop blades vs the roll pins which sucked. Nice and easy to keep the trip rod tight with the bolt in style. If they're still making them like that they would be my recommendationAll I want in life is to turn wrenches and climb around pinsetters/pinspotters again :/

Glad to hear they stuck with them. MUCH better design. With the roll pin the casting on the back wore and got loose too easily. We used to pull em and drill a hole and tap threads in it and use a set screw to keep it tight. Not an issue with the bolt style, I was REALLY happy when I saw they went back to that design. Dunno why they changed it to begin withAll I want in life is to turn wrenches and climb around pinsetters/pinspotters again :/

It includes the 090006663 trip rod which is definately not what House is inquiring about.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
