AMF black carpet discontinued?
I heard that they were discontinued. Is this true? I also heard that there will be something to replace it. Does anyone have any info on this?Giving bowlers less to complain about, one lane at a timeTags: None

Yeah they are not that old, especially as they are an 088 part number, but ya know what it really wouldn't surprise me as they probably had so many issues with them, of the 26 I have here, 80% or there abouts have failed seams, some have been replaced a while ago and done it again,, would have been an AWESOME carpet if not for the seams coming apart....AS REQUESTED....The all new and VERY improved "super cool" Pin_Head with super hip shades.....

Dudes.... I'm not that hard to get a hold of. You can reach me by phone (866 460 7263) and ask me directly when you have these types of questions... that's what I'm here for! Also, if you PM me here on bowltech, I get an email directly to my work email.
The black carpet is still standard equipment on the XLi EDGE pinspotter. The red carpet is not a replacement for the black (it carries a 2 year warranty while the black carries a 1 year warranty). We are always looking for products to improve performance, and the carpet is no different.
The seam issue is a catch 22. The amount of glue used at the seam caused a problem by creating stiffness at the joint. Using less glue caused a problem with the seam splitting. At this point, it appears we have found a happy medium.

When was the glue issue discovered and corrected? I just got 2 carpets in from a local distributor that have 05-12 on it. I assume it was made in may last year.
If they are sending me ones that are from before the problem was found I'll just order directly from amfGiving bowlers less to complain about, one lane at a time

4:1 Timing off..
*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
