  • dizzy belt i.d. help

We have a belt that i can not i.d. it is a brown/orangeish color looks like the old nitrile pattern but it is so old that the pattern in the belt is hard to distinguish. It was on a distributor that we got and I haven't had one problem in 4yrs with that belt.I would love to know who made it or if it is still made ,but then again it works great so they probably don't. lol

You know what I want 33 more of these as I have 3 that are MORE than 15 years old! They grab the pins like glue and track straight too.I have replaced what seems like a entire UPS truck of other kinds, mostly white nitriles but these 3 just keep on rolling! The company that sold these probably went out of business from not being able to sell anymore

Me thinks for the reason keeth pointed out, make a belt that lasts forever, you kinda run out of people who need to buy it.....

I tried the grey grippers from Splawn and got 6 months out of them before they became slick as goose crap but we are a high lineage center. I now use their black poly-v and you cant beat the price.

Never had a problem with my trusty poly-v's from AMF. You can clean those bad boys & the pins won't even slip if the belt is wet!

The orange belts i have here (big shout out to seanm) we have had them since May last year and as yet have not cleaned them once, they still look as good as the day they went in, (slightly darker) but they are still SUPER grippy as all hell despite never being cleaned. Also figured that slashed an hour a night off the guys work load to do other things. We went from around 25 PPU's a week with the old belts to about 4-5, I also use a belt riser on them to get that grip a tad earlier...

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
