  • Chassis issue 82/70- ss

I have a chassis here that works perfect...except when it engages the table for the spot cycle, it does not send the power to the spot solenoid engaging that whole assembly. It acts as if it does send power because the table still goes down but only to respot height due to the not engaging of the solenoid. Any tips? Alrdy swapped omnitek boards, spot relay, and t2 transformer (had a hunch). Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Check the pins on the C1. Also, the spot socket may be going bad - if the pins are OK, then grab ahold of the spot relay when it's supposed to be spotting and give it a slight twist - if it suddenly works, chances are the socket is bad.
I've had enough of hope & chains.

I had this problem last week! Mine was a bad lower table contact might want to get a meter on it just to check.

I second this as I seem to have one doing the same thing, most likely the spot relay socket is going bad.

If this is a solid state chassis with omega teks then make sure the little jumper board is in there and facing the correct way (did somebody touch this chassis right before this started happening) If this board is backwards or missing the spot solenoid will not work.

Are you sure you don't mean upper? The lower contacts are the N.C. or braking contacts. The uppers are N.O. or start/run. When the N.O. contacts close the motor runs/solenoid pulls in.

Beat me to it, I was gonna suggest the jumper too TJ. Seen that one before and that's EXACTLY what it'll do. If not that I'd for sure check the SP socket and wiring
All I want in life is to turn wrenches and climb around pinsetters/pinspotters again :/

also if the above fails check the socket the xop board plugs into. I had one doing this and it was a broken and bent back contact in that strip. the #2 contact if. im not mistaken.

            MP Chassis Tester

            Good morning,
I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches

            *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

            Turret clutch rebuild

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

            Thanks...
