Weird Problem

I have a problem that I have never seen before. One lane in my house has a slow table and sweep, by this i mean when the table and sweep return to zero position after spotting pins. The sweep and table both move at same speed, but are incredably slow in comparison to other machines. I have Omega Tec chassis, and national motors on the lane. I will be changing out the motors to Westinghouse Combo Motors, in the next couple of weeks, will this take care of the problem or is it in the Capasitors. Please Help Soon!!!

u dont by chance simply still have 14.5rpm gearboxes on the rest of the house and 12.1rpm on that particular lane do ya?

for both the sweep & Table to be SLOW is beyond me...if there is a power problem to that lane i would think the motors would just not start

Hey Coors,
I do have 14.5 and 12.1 RPM Motors in my house. I have the 12.1 RPM Motors on all my tables and 14.5 RPM motors on all my sweeps. I don't like running the tables fast, parts were out faster, so I slowed them down. Sweeps seem to be OK though. This machine has 12.1 RPM Motors on both Sweep and Table, but the problem started just recently(last 2 months or so).

Ken,
If you have Quality [a misnomer] start switches on the motors I have seem them run slow when returning to guard.

I'm not sure if this could be causing your problem but I had a machine that was running slow, not so much the table but the sweep. I couldn't figure out why to save my life. I was standing behind the machine just staring at it in aw when I notice the ground wire from the mask plug was broke off the ground terminal. I figured what the heck, put a new terminal on it and the problem was gone.

The problem only lies in the sweep, the table seems to be running at normal speed. I wil ake a look at the ground wire ad any other possible connection failures.
