  • Ball Lift Belts(HELP)

I have 24 pinspotter ball lift with PBl Conversions and the new AMF Black Ball Lift belt. I have experienced alot of flaking and the belt grooves are wearing out quickly. I love how the belts pick up even the hardest balls in today's oily conditions. I need some suggestions on new ball lift belts, mine are only going to last the rest of the year. I have heard some good things about the AMF Green belt, should I try it. I lay down alot of oil, and hate to clean the belts more than once a week. Please Help!!!

Stahl's 70 makes a good lift belt. It is gray in color, picks the ball up and lasts.
    Good luck

dont worry, even though its not pretty the black belts will last forever...well..might break a week before then...but "whata ya gonna do?" a quote from Homer Simpson...lol

i just take a flat head screw drive and hold it against the back side of the belt while its running to remove the rubber flakes...and stop the "balloons rubbing together sound"

after about a month the flaking stops. generally the flaking occurs when using a narrow grove pulley on the ball lift...ive had several flake myself. after enough rubber flakes off.., to allow it to sit in the groove and not squish itself into it, the flaking stops.

so dont worry...the black belts have plenty of life left in them

Don't know much about AMF's Black Belt. But, stay away from the green ones. They defiantly have to be cleaned every day with a mild solvent. Although not to popular of a belt, I have not had any problems with vantage blue belts although that’s one of the few things they make I don't have problems with! I clean their belts with a dry rag only.

I have 50 Lanes of the Black Ball Lift Belt. I have found out the hard way, that the belt must be perfectly aligned so that the ball does not move the belt either left or right. If it is installed correctly, the belt will last a long time. If it is not it will not last a week.

Are Stahl's belts the grey ones with the fabric type underside. If so they are fantastic. I got them from Mid-Atlantic bowling supply. Does anyone have the # for Stahl's?

Also I've had problems with the AMF black belt. On some lanes the ball won't get picked upor it will yoyo. I do have kickers though.
