Oh.
Why are they called batman cams?
Furthermore, what is the problem with them?
Just keep 'em nice and greasy (like distributor tubes heh heh heh).

Just thought it would be easier to change a board when you get an intermitent switch. a.k.a. Batman cam was in a different thread but don't know where or what thread that was anymore.

I dont understand. The "Batman Cam" shifter link is not the respot cam. The shifter link works with the pawl to control the respot cells, which works with the respot cam and the rod. I dont understand why someone would want to replace it. It really isnt that big of a problem child. Ive never had problems with it and it is easy to adj. How would a micro chip replace the shifter link?

oh boy... I haven't explained this well at all........1ST off Scratch the Batman Cam. Now back to the a k a Table & Sweep Cams.....Maybe you can't put a chip or board to replace the sweep & table cams ( I don't see them in the yangi's though ). All's I really know is if you have an intermitent one it can give ya sum fits....

There's been talk about keeping the cams but replacing the microswitches with some type of Optical Sensor or Proximity Sensor technology. I'd like to see this come to pass someday. With optical, all you got to do is keep it clean and adjusted. With proximity, just adjusted.

hey felix. the cam you are talking about people call a pacman cam not a batman cam. remember the game pacman? the roung ball with the mouth that ate things. so the shuttle part of the cam looks like pacman. just thought you might be interested. glen
