MR ED make sure you get the front a frame in the correct position,i don't rember i haven't put any 30s in for a long time.if you have 30s where you are check the measurement off the 7-10 line, and don't bolt up the back end to close to the front end otherwise the dist might not want to go past 10 to 9 or 8 to 7.i have the installation prints some where, but haven't seen them for years.good luck have a few crudweisers :p

From what I understand "Charlie" has a camper in PA for the weekends. Now I'm not making any assumptions but I heard that 2 trailers are missing from town. Ed is this the DOUBLEWIDE we have talked about??????? They are at least long enough for a full lane. Ok no facetiousness here from me, this is a feast or famine reputation situation.

If I were you, I'd slam a bottle of ginko pills, washing them down with a RedBull or two, get into the design-philosophy brain gear rather than the gotta-turn-bolts-faster brain gear, have as many manuals as possible at the ready, knowing their content and order of their pages beforehand.

I'd probably complete work on sub-sub-sub-sub assemblies first and work up the sub list, but it may just be better to work, literally, from the ground up.

have only seen 030's once briefly, so I can't offer much tech advise.

Well, I went there and the measurments that I took off of my kickbacks were useless.
They were differnt sizes. IM going to drop a plumb line off of the table shaft at my place to get the measurment I need to set the "A" frame. So....I made a list of hardware that IM going to need and went to a buddy's house and tied one hell of a load on!!!!!!! I have decided to go on the wagon for the next couple of weeks!!!! Stay clear!!!!!!! The last time I went on the wagon I was !!!!!!

Re: installing

hey ed,
for your a-frame setup, run a plumb line thru the centre of the 7-10 line up to the top of the kickback. mark that position on the top and that is where the rear coach screw hole is drilled. the front hole is not drilled until you fit the sweep gear support.
if you don't want to fit the sweep mount straight away just position the front leg roughly with a big nail through the bolt hole.
i usually just eyeball the backends along the back(assuming that there are other machines to line up with!!!) or put about 1/4" gap between the wooden and metal kickbacks. as mentioned by one of the other guys make sure that the dist. will a) run smoothly across the back row at 0 and
b) extend right to the no.1 chute at 180.

regards,
len.
Regards,
