Re: Balls Rolling on Front Roller
Hello, back when I worked on the 70's we had the same trouble with balls setting on the front roller. We found the ball idling bracket would be bent down. At the time this bracket was only a piece of 1/8 inch of steel that looked like an L. The short part of the L bolted to the side of the machine. We went in and removed the brackets and welded 2 pieces of flat iron 1/8 thick and about 1/2 inch wide to the under side of the bracket to keep it from getting bent down and cracking at the 90 degree bend. This fixed the problum of the ball setting up there.

Make sure there are no washers UNDER the vibration dampner on that side of the bounce plate.

Re: Balls Rolling on Front Roller
Hey Terry, a quick (but lazy) way to cure the problem adjust your sweep so it runs back into the pit a little further. If you run it back too far it will want to calapse on you. Good Luck

Re: Balls Rolling on Front Roller
if youre having a ball on front roller problem, it's usually due to static and i'm guessing the balls are usually light house balls or old crappy plastic ones. usually spraying static guard on the flat gutter and carpet does the trick, but i would make sure the ground strap is secured correctly from the bounce plate to the pit support on the machine.

Re: Balls Rolling on Front Roller
and if the ball is idling behind the 9 pin spot(odd lane)..where the ball idling bracket of the bounce plate assembly begins....the carpet on that lane is stretched

Re: Balls Rolling on Front Roller
ill assume you mean balls are getting stuck opposite the balldoor side infront of the front roller/behind the flat gutter my little trick is to nail a board behind the flat gutter to back the ball away from the pindeck so it wont idle there as long/at all.
trial and error as far as pitching the pits helps to an extend....but its really a pain for such a little improvement

Balls Rolling on Front Roller
I am having problems on a few pinspotters with the ball setting on the front roller and when the table sets a new rack, the table will hit the ball and of course resulting in pins falling. Any Ideas for correcting this problem.

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

Solderless relay conversion
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
