MAGIC CIRCLE BALL RETURN
WITH TODAYS AMOUNT OF OIL ON THE LANES OUR OLD WHEELS CANT PICK UP THE BALL PROPERLY. TO GET AROUND THIS I CUT OFF THE EDGES OF A BIKE TIRE AND SLIP THIS ON WITH GLUE & STAPLES. THIS ONLY GETS ME 10-12 MONTHS BEFORE THE OIL EATS THE TYRE. ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS?Si Senor, Derdago, Forte Lorez inaro.

Re: MAGIC CIRCLE BALL RETURN
Hey Cobow, try this. Take the block of rubber that bolts to the cushion hanger weldment cut about 1 1/2 to 2 inches straight across the bottom. Put this rubber block behind the wide ball check belt and wedge it in as far down as possible. You want to retain its curved shape and put in as low in the return as possible. Use the u bolts and metal straps to secure it to the ball check belt frame. Here is the idea behind it. The ball is traveling at enough speed to get past the buldge in the ball check belt but will not go back the other way. I have put 10-12 balls on the lazy susan, thrown a ball down the lane an watched the returning ball push a ball off the return onto the floor. Good luck, let me know what happens.

Re: MAGIC CIRCLE BALL RETURN
Mike,
Please help
I've been trying to put your idea into practice but could you please specify what part of the frame you're bolting the rubber pad to & which way the curve goes. Every time I think I've got it something keeps going wrong. Either the bolts get in the way or it stops the light balls before they reach the wheel.

Re: MAGIC CIRCLE BALL RETURN
Hey Dutch, to start wit take the rubber pad PN 070 001 432 and cut an inch to an inch and a half off the end. Put the pad in the return flexing or arching the pad to cause the wide leather ball check belt to buldge a little. If you cut more off the pad the ball check belt will buldge less. Remember this pad lays cross ways in the return (perpendicular to the ball check belt) Push as close to the wooden roller as possible. If light balls don't get past the buldge cut more off the end of the pad. The idea is that the ball speed is great enough to make the ball go past the buldge but once past will not go back down the upsweep track. As I recall I used the U-bolts and straps that hold the pad on the hanger weldment in the pinsetter. Good luck Dutch, let me know if you still have problems.

Re: MAGIC CIRCLE BALL RETURN
Mike,
Got my "prototype" in yesterday. Looks like it's going to work great! Of coarse, only time will tell if I got it right. I'll let you know in a week. We have a group that bowls Wednesdays. I have to sit up front & just go from one pair to another the whole time their bowling. If it works for them it'll work for anything.
Thanks,
Dutch
