Re: backend mtrs
We use the Quality combo switch (785-502-19-A
) on ALL of our motors inc. backend. Some people argue that they go bad too often but it's the only one that I know of that is repairable. (for a dollar or less per switch) We have 150 switches total & we have to repair about 1 switch per week. Usually nothing more than a 10 cent resistor.
Mount a 4 conductor receptical to the motor & simply unplug the bad switch & plug in the new. The switch can be velcroed to the wireway to help avoid heat & (at least some of the) vibration.

Re: backend mtrs
Hi guys, I'm Ray from Cybernetic Solutions in Australia. Sorry this is going to sound like an advert, but.......
Our electronic start switches work on all motors, including National. We have a model for backend motors and one for combination motors. They are not repairable, but they also generally last for several years, even in high lineage centres. Cost is around US$25.00.
Check them out at <a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cybernetic.com.au" target="_blank">http://www.cybernetic.com.au</a></a></a></a></a></a></a></a></a></a>
