I buy them from AMF. I beleive the list price is $360 for the B/E. I don't beleive they handle the Combination Motor because at one time they were having trouble with the Motor drifting, but I am not positive.

Quality sells a Leeson combo motor. We are running several of them. There’s very little difference between them & the Nationals that you’re used to. Off hand, I don’t know the part # or the $.

              Re: back end mtrs

I believe AMF no longer sells the Franklin motors from what I understand. I think they're garbage anyway. Just try getting replacement parts for them. I use the Leeson motors from Quality as well. They are a good replacement motor and you can get them in a combo or BE. I do have a question about the Leeson Combo motors though. I have an older style combo motor that does not have a brake and it simply relies on the gearbox/lower contacts/switch to stop it and it drifts badly. Do they make a brake kit for these motors? The newer Leesons already have these brakes but I am not sure if they have kits for the older ones or if anybody else has encountered this problem. Thanks!

Yes, they do make brake kits for Leeson combos. Check with your distributor for the # & $.

I dont understand why your local motor repair cant fix (rewind or rework your armature). i have westinghouse. Ive herd tell that vantage B E motor does not have as much winding and would cause it to run louder. As for a combo motor you would need to supply the repair shop with away of turning them on there work bench. I have such a control box.
