Re: hand gernade pins
I seriously hope no one out there still uses roll pins on the clutch end (long end) of the driveshaft. I don't know of any way to get the clutch parts off the shaft without
removing the pin, nor do I know of any way to remove the roll pin without driving it out, which 100% of the time will bend the shaft if not supported.
I found, in McMaster-Carr (grainger may have it), the correct length shoulder bolt that fits nicely in the hole and is just long enough to grab the u-joint. I put a nyloc-type nut on its threads, tightening it into the nylon patch as tight as I can with just my fingers. Stays put, and can be easily removed when needed.

Re: hand gernade pins
Bowl,
Channel locks will push the roll pin even with the shaft, then grab hold of it with diagonal cutters & pry the pin out. No hammer, no bent shaft. However, we will be looking into getting some of these "hand grenade pins."
