Is the AMF PBL+ kit, the same as the vantage mini pbl? I want to convert my kickers to pbls, but I don't want light ball sensors. My neighboring center just converted a couple years ago, and they don't have light ball sensors either. One of the main reasons for wanting this kit, is to keep the cost down. The "mini" kit comes with the paddle speed reducing pulley and the adjustable drive shock right? I'm planning to order these on Monday and I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting. Thanks guys!

Give me a hammer and some duct tape and I can fix it!
Do yourself a favor and put in humpbacks....less work and moving parts. Their new belt has no problems and their ball door rings are as sturdy as an anvil!

Yes the kit has the adjustable pulley for the rudder drive and the spring loaded rudder shock. You also need to buy the drill set and temple for the kit. That does not come with the kit. Don’t have the part number here at home but I think it is a 610 or 612 number.
Hey King, if you're talkin about the new black humpy belt, forget it. They stink. I've had 2 separate on me in a year and one currently on a machine that is on its way. True, Lifelong is true to their word and have replaced the belts at no charge, but when you only have 1 spare lift and most of the brs in the center are kickers, you gotta keep a regular style lift as a spare...besides the fact that Lifelong will NOT sell you a spare belt (believe me, I've tried). I currently have 5 pairs converted to the humpys and 2 kits in boxes that I may put up for sale on eBay..lol
Where did I hear? I called and asked. They won't sell the belt by itself. They will only sell it as a kit..unless they just recently changed their policy. And yes I am talkin about the 2000 series belts.
And also, when I informed Lifelong about the separation of the belts and they sent me the new belts, they also sent me these hard plastic pieces that install on the ends of the return rails and are supposed to center the ball before it starts going up the lift. Sounds fine. But I've already had a pair of those plastic things wear out and break on me. I'm stayin with kickers til my boss lets me convert to PBL. And I guess I'll keep those 5 humpies converted...too much trouble to go back to kickers on them lol.
I experienced problems with the white belts separating. I believe the biggest problem with belt separation is the installation of the lift arm. The lift arms I bent to the radius of the ball door rings were the pairs I had belt problems on. When I bent the lift arm I had to lower the ball lift to get the ball to go up the rails. The lift arms I installed that was bent on their jig I had no problems with belt separation. The ball lift sat in the machines higher if I didn't bent the arm. I believe the belt had more pressure on it if you "custom" bent the lift arm. If you bent your lift arms take them out and straighten them and raise your ball lift. We have very high lineage and no belt problems in a long time.
If you are looking for a reliable ball lift system try stahl's air exits. Everything is adj. by air, and the cost is very reasonable. If you need more or less paddle pressure increase or decrease air. No more ball calls.

I just finished putting these pbl kits in on Friday. Boy do I love them! Absolutly no ball calls in three weeks. Installation was easy to. Just put everything together, turn on the machines, adjust the paddle, and off you go. I haven't touched any of them since the initial instalation. NO MORE KICKERS FOR ME!
