• PBL's

Pbls are ok once you get all the adustments made I have to move the lift rails and now in the process of adding tuffy rails to help with the added oil. Last night had problems with ball lift, took two lower rail pads and cut them and put them over the others to make them thicker and it worked great.

Re: PBL's

I did the same thing my self with the lower rail covers. I'm just now getting rid of my kickers and putting in PBL's. I agree PBLs are great when adjusted properly. I have three pairs done so far and I love them.
Give me a hammer and some duct tape and I can fix it!

Re: PBL's

I agree that PBLs are great. I put them in my 82-30s last summer. The problem that I ran into was loosing grip on the top of the rails. I modified the lower support bracket by drilling a new set of holes right above the factory holes. This brought the top of the lift down closer to the top of the rails, which also allowed me to use the larger drive pulleys. With the lift turning slower, lifting the ball out of the bottom was not much of a problem, however I did have to add washers behind the lift rails. If I were to do it again, I would get the adjustable lift bracket that Lifelong sells with their Humpback belt, and I would probably put in thicker lower lift rod covers. But now that the PBLs are in, I love them!! I could count the ball calls last year on one hand that were due to the PBLs.
