There is an owner out there that is looking for a New Head Mechanic... 36 Lane 82-90xl house, GREAT Budget NOT! , Lots of spare parts NOT! Although one postive thing that I can say is the pay is decent and the business is striving. So keep your ears and eyes open for Arizona should you want to move out this way... :pTags: None

So are you saying they should or should not consider taking this position?

Re: Watch Out!
Mok; how much money will you take to pull your hair out, and when you need a part you might as well be talking to a brick wall.
This good young mechanic spent alot of time driving to my center to borrow simple expendable parts.
when your owner tells you that the old mechanic made those carpets last 30 years, that you are to get something to sew it together; what would think?Pinspotters do not break down when they are not running!

Re: Watch Out!
Hmmmmm ....
I just don't understand some other owners, who'd spend the $$$ to get a new set of machines, then not keep parts on hand.
Bottom line, we run all 16, 42 year old brunswicks, every night. Can't afford to have one go down, and I don't expect to be able to mooch parts off someone else.
The last time I actually counted, I believe my pinsetter parts inventory was around $17,000. I never question it if my guys say they need to order stuff, but on the other side, they know that if it breaks, "we don't have one", is an answer that would land them in deep shytt.
If there's not at least a month's worth of oil and stripper in the closet, someone's gonna get reamed, because you can't always count on your distributor to have it on hand.
The old saw bears repeating "failure to plan on your part does NOT constitute a crisis on my part"
