They are making nice cuts in your pins if the pin gets stuck between the distributor and the BE motor.
I did trash them all because we have another protection device for our motors.

I think this one is for an odd lane Whaha.

Hey guys!

Pffft, forget Tasmania! Good old Queensland is the home of the BEST Crocodile Hunter the world has seen - Steve Irwin. That guy must get paid a royal fortune, to wander out into the African wilderness and get spat on by every single species of the Spitting Cobra under the sun! Only an Aussie would do something like that!!

Anyway, sorry to burst all ya bubbles, but I'm gunna tell ya all the answer...!!

PART NUMBER --> well, I cant seem to find the part number on me at the moment (can I buy a vowel?)
DESCRIPTION --> KLIXON PROTECTOR (B/E MOTOR)
STASH/TRASH --> I dunno about you other guys, but I'd probably stash it. I know they get pretty screwed up when a pin gets jammed between the pin wheel and the backend motor, but its better that getting screwed up than your klixon hey??

This is what it is anyway....
</IMG>

Have fun!!

That klixon protector does not keep the pinchasers from using a screwdriver and a hammer to beat on the klixon. They are impatient and bust the klixon anyway.

Hey Kryley....yeah, he is awesome....but just think, Tasmania is the Home of something.

Just because Queensland has better weather than us (who doesn't?), more things to do (who doesn't?), has more beautiful woman (again, who doesn't?), better beaches for surfing (just), just remember, what's the most essential thing in Australia.....that's right, BEER!!!!!

And where does the best beer in Australia come from....(everybody)...TASMANIA!!!....hmm that remeinds me...I need one!

Hey Kryley, thanks for using the Vantage catalog to identify the part, but I don't remember the red arrow on the page.
Hmmm.

Way to go, JJ!!! The stash's or trash's are awesome! I say stash this one, so you can replace one should it get bunged up.

785 501 315? I dunno.

Kryley was right on mark with the description and the Motor Man was close on the part #.

Its 785 501 469, kit-klixon protector.

I don't stash any extra. Most times you can use a punch and needle nose to straiten them back out.

Screw those "NON"-protectors. I move all my klixons and capacitors to the back end control box along with the sinpac solid state start switch. Nice plug and cord arrangement, and you don't have to be concerned with RH or LH.

Our BE motors are about the same, we allso removed the male plug and the clixons(and offcourse the clixon protector).
We allso removed the clixons of the Table and Sweep.
Instead of all the clixons we have a box placed above the a&amp;mc box(where the two machines are connected), in this box we have six automatic overloads(for two machines-be,sweep and table)that will trip if the current is more than 4A for more than 5 seconds-remember we have 230 V here).
The other advantage is that you can use these overloads as a switch to get the high voltage from all your motors(allso the BE)from the front end of your machine without removing the motor plugs!
We are working with this for about 10 years with this and without any problems.
I don't have any pics of it but if someone is interested I'll do my best.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
