ok, i can't get an original orange or green belt, i have a quality belt, that has absolutely no traction when it comes to grabbing balls

question

what do you guys think the premium belt is at the moment?

or

is there anyone who handles the orange and green belts still?
i don't need mods, i am a bloody genius

You can get an orange original belt. Ace Mitchell has them.

The best in my opinion is the blacl AMF belt. It is flat. It only downside is the v is fairly soft and not as durable as the old ones...but it handles oil well.

Re: surepik belts

The popular vote here is that the Vantage blue belts are too soft and wear too fast, but we are probably running about 1/2 or more of our shur-piks and kicker ball lifts with them, and I've never had too much in the way of problems with picking up the balls, and most of them are in thier 4th or 5th year (some even longer) running with no signs of cupping or wear. Biggest thing is keeping them clean... I wipe them down once a week with 99% alcohol (isopropanol) and a clean cloth, and they run like a charm.

Has anyone used JCP's blue belt on either their ball lifts or Sure-Piks

They assure me that it IS NOT like the Vantage blue belt. I just got one in last week & put it on our spare ball lift but I haven't installed the lift yet… Don't have any bad ones right now.

Dutch,

I just change belts. Do you change the whole lift somehow?

By ball lift, I mean the back end ball lift.

Not sure... I have one oddball blue belt on 17-18 shur-pik... it's the color of the Vantage belts, but not it's not soft like them. It has the feel of an AMF belt...and it has become so glassy on top that it's starting to cause problems with balls slipping back or not picking at all. I'm not sure if it's a JCP, but it's a possibility... the only places that we order parts from are AMF, Vantage, Eastern, and JCP. I tried to "rough it up" with sandpaper to get rid of the glassy surface, but it just comes back in a few days.
