HI guys ,
This one is a bit strange , but doesn't actually cause a problem...
We run 70's/pbl/Accuscore plus / MP chassis with series 2,4,5 & 6 boards . What happens is some lanes at different times feel for pins & then spot on a strike cycle . Now normally with MP , of course they would just sweep & spot (especially since we have no wiring on our tables at all )........
Sorry I should have finished my first post...it still scores a strike which would rule out late pinfall as far as I'm aware.
Because MP's rely totally on the score input to tell the pinspotter what sequence to run & in my experience with MP once the respot cycle starts , it shouldn't go thru a strike.
Having said this , MP's can have a mind of their own at times and do things that sometimes can't be explained !!
Still rather MP than 5 board having worked on both over the years - both have advantages & disatvantages.....
The only thing that worked to get rid of the problem was to switch to the creative tech board with the led's all over it. The older board did not seem to run as well as theirs.
Move em'!
Move those boards!
Move them to known good chassis.
If that doesn't work, move the chassis!
This is the only way to find where the problem is.
Make your backend a giant chassis musical chairs. The first one to F-up loses his seat!
We have the same sort of setup up here in the scrub , but I can't say we've really had that sort of problem.
We do get problems where a strike is bowled and the machine goes into respot cycle and "feels" for pins, even though we do not have table wires like you, and then after the respot cycle, it sits on second ball with a bare deck.
Luckily we have a very good Electronics Technician as a Shift Manager, and he did some research into this and found out that an optocoupler (not sure which one) on the PC Boards in the chassis was fubar. I know this isnt the problem you are having, but just thought i'd mention it.
If you would like to speak to our Elec Tech about it, email me and i shall give you some details.
With the accuscore plus setup , we have scoring start switches on the sweep , so generally the delay is not a problem - also if this was the case , we have no wiring on the tables apart from GPS , so why would the machine go through an XC once in respot cycle ??
I could be wrong , but it's the old saying - you only feel guilty when you get caught...
Can somebody give an explaniton how pins 2, 3, 6 are supposed to be connected. I had a shortcircuit there for the drive motor connection because of water leakage.
I have a distributor that is pulling the belt hard to the left in the nine pin position (and possibly 6 pin), but seems fine in the other spots. As you can see the residue and...
I have several Pin Elevators that I believe to be out of round on my XLi's and was curious if anyone has ever run across this before and is so, what you did about it.
I'm...
