• Trivia Time!

What is wrong with this machine.

1. Sweep motor overheated.
2. Sweep contactor energized.
3. Replaced capacitors with good ones and it wont run.
4. Replaced ss relay and it wont run.
5. Ran cheater cord from table plug to sweep motor and it ran.

What is wrong with it?

JJ, you took the words out of my mouth. had a similar problem last month. Checked everything, even put a solid state switch on it.

Decided to change the SRW and SR switches. Did the trick.

Change that SRS before it burns up that omega tech board. Jim will charge you to get that fixed. It happened to me.

sweep reverse or sweep plug.

i almost had a heart attack first time i had a sweep reverse go bad. checked everything, and then just for kicks thought "well, will it run in reverse??" and then noticed there was no little click when i pushed down the SWRS.

also you didnt list changed chassis. could be ya missed a wire when ya put in your new relay/contactor

Re: Trivia Time!

Sweep reverse switch is correct. When we put in our decks in 93....almost every machine did this. I switched all of them out. But another switch went out Saturday night during Rock n bowl. Fun fun.

What does a bad SWSR have to do pindecks?

I was thinking the same thing. Why would putting in new pin decks cause a switch to go bad.

When we put in the new decks we had tons of oor's. Too much use on the ****ches. They started going bad immediately. This was before hi tech daily stripping machines!
