• FRIDAY CLASS

OK CLASS this happened to me about 25 years ago.82/70 ss machine, league is bowling they call deck lite is having a spaz attact so I get there and light is flickering when sweep or table is running not at zero, masking unit plug right??
wrong so they keep bowling a few minutes later as I'M watching it sweep&table relays start chattering then the machine blacks out so I change the chassis still no power, check wall circuit it's on?? get meter and check incoming power to machine it's ok
check circuit breaker on back control panel it checks good and I jump it still nothing.
jump masking unit switch still nothing??
pull c1 plug and look at it looks good?? pull c2a looks good ?? put another chassis on still the same and I push on the open contacts for the be relay and grab the wires on the sweep&table contacts nothing no quick charge LOL so now I know there is no power to chassis (league is waiting no place to move them)check amc plug and found nothing?? (league got tired of waiting and left) WHAT'S THE PROBLEM, AND IT WAS FRIDAY THE 13TH PART ONE EGOR WAS THERE. and no it's not the magnetic clutch.and no more fighting in class CRUDO

Teach,

I believe the problem is your Russel Stoll plug.

I have slowly been replacing mine due to corrosion and arcing.

SORRY 82/70 GRUO HERE WE DON'T HAVE RUSSEL STOLL
PLUGS WE HAVE a wall 20amp switch
don't ask me why they think the switch is safer.
power is going into the switch and going out and the chassis is still dead. :p

CRUD:

Let me get this straight...so you ARE getting 120VAC to the machine (chassis). What about the 24VAC for the manager control circuit. Is the chassis getting that to? I noticed you mentioned the mask circuit several times. It too is part of the manager control circuit. If no 24VAC at the chassis, then one would need to trace where the 24VAC control is broken.

Direct wire is better then Russel Stoll. They arc after years of constant use. I shouls have hard wired mine instead of using twist lock.

It is senior skip day here. I will be at the party bridge smokin' a lefty!

Sounds like one of your machnines was a victim of a rolling blackout.

I agree with Kat...with a break in the 24VAC circuit there would be no power then, today, or tomarrow

Re: FRIDAY CLASS

My 1st guess would be to check the incoming power wires & terminals in the wireway, under the chassis. I don't remember the terminal designations but one is black, the other is white & they plug into the term. strip near the A&MC plug. Is there power to this point?
