• NO POWER!!!!

Hey guys I really need your help. Came in tonight and lane 6 has no power. Was told it dropped a pin wife went to crawl under, shut off mask switch started to crawl under and table fell. Turned back on and up it went, turned off then down it went, then turned machine back on for a sec and whole thing blacked out. So here I sit trying to figure out what is wrong.

I have no electrical experience with these machines. Russel-stole plug has power. I have omega-tec single boards and these are 82-70's. Heck my lighted triangle wont even light. It looks like the top left hand wire in the c1? plug
,the top one, is burnt. the wire is black color coded. otherwise I dont know where to look.

So please help or get me pointed in the right direction if possible.

Community Bowl,

Yea, I think that is s 110v wire. Change the pin, or any that are burnt, and try again.

Re: NO POWER!!!!

You might have 2 problems... If you turned the mask switch 'off', and the table coasted down that far, you'd better check your motor/gearbox... especially since you said it ran back up to zero when you turned the power back on. If it's drifting that bad, the motor would constantly be kicking on and off to hold the table at zero when the power is on. A constant starting-amperage draw caused by a problem like that would definitely cause things to start arcing or burning...

Re: NO POWER!!!!

Two things. If you have power to your russell stoll plug and none to the rest of the machine then you need to check your "Main Pwr" Pins in your C1 plug like SVL said. The other thing that you should check is a weak breaker. If you have a weak circuit breaker it may not be able to handle 120 nor the amperage that is drawn from your pinsetter. Just a few thoughts...

Well thats just like your opinion man...

well guys I changed the socket in c1 plug and nothing happened. started testing wires in wireway and in back box and couldnt find any power tested power through Russell stoll and that was fine. Finally got mad and put everything back together, plugged it back in and, voila!, its running. I don't have a clue what it was. Maybe just a loose connection somewhere and all the fiddling around I did with the wires helped. Who knows it'll probably happen again tonight on leagues.

Thanks guys!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Check the male RS plug on the machine... I've had a couple that the wires loosened up or broke off at the screw terminals from vibration. When you were jiggling wires, you may have made it reconnect. Same goes for the C1 plug... Turn the machine on, and then shake the wire bundles a bit. If the machine shuts off or 'blinks', you have an intermittent loose connection.

I hate intermittent problems...they're a pain to dig out sometimes...they never seem to show up until you're in the middle of something else with your back turned...

Check the continuity of the breakers in the chassis with a meter (OR fuses). A bad breaker dosn't always LOOK bad! Seen that a LOT!
I've had enough of hope & chains.
