    Sweep Mounts

    Is there a manufacturer that makes rubber sweep mounts for the 70's (070-003-195)? [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif[/img] The ones that Stahls sells are urethane and aren't as strong and durable.
    Experience: Currently Help Maintain 44 82-30s and 50 82-70s.

    The shock mounts I get from Quality are made of rubber. I order mine through Newells Bowling Supply out of Murietta, CA.

      If you put the new 090 bracket on your sweeps instead of the slide bar the shock mounts last longer......less sprung weight......

      I havent had a shock moung go out this year....and I havenot lost one 090 bracket due to a ball hitting the sweep either.

        Most of my machines have the old original AMF shock mounts still on. The few I've replaced are from Vantage and I haven't had anytrouble with those. I bet it's been two years since I changed a shock mount. Not too many sweeps get hit in my house.
        Give me a hammer and some duct tape and I can fix it!

          King: go to your sweep brackets with a flashlight and magnifying glass and look at the top, where the bracket is bent 90 degrees. This is where the first cracking starts. I've had a few break off, but still prefer the 090's. Now if they would just redesign it with the proper angle so the sweep bar would be perpendicular to the lane!
