Hey guys thanks for all the input in the past.

1 stupid ?.....Is it possible to get the distributor to move farther left and right to reach the 7 and 10 bin locations. lane 59 has trouble with the 7 pin and the 2nd 7 pin gets put in wrong so that it will fall through and double shuttle 50% of the time.

thanks

Re: distributor travel

By installing 1 or 2 washers between the female rod end(070 006 066) and the lateral drive arm assy.(070 006 052), this will help by increasing the lateral travel for 7 & 10 pin.

I tried it also 2 years ago, I did see a difference. If all is in sync, really no need for it.

I have one problem dist. with this mod.

It does work.

The washer creates a longer link for more travel.

Re: distributor travel

The washer is an old trick. Don't over do it: too many washers might create a clearance problem.
Another observation: make sure it doesn't create other problems further up, for while it helps at the 7 and 10, it will also affect the 4 & 6, and the 2 & 3, but to a lesser degree.
We did this mod across the house. One time recently after renewing and reinstalling a pair of back end units, and installing new bins, I needed to remove the washer from the distributor for better second-stack pin feed. Turns out that if you can get the second 7 or 10 pin to drop directly onto the center of the first pin's belly, it will roll over to the outside, taking the head with it. (No more hangovers!) But if the pin gets fed to the outer most side of the bins, it may hang over, especially if the distributor is low (close to the bin). Keep the distributor high (front casting nearest the bin should be even with the top of the bin's rear channel). This will give the pin momentum to keep moving.

I don't buy all this dist. adjustment crap to stop double shuttle of the 7 pin. It does'nt matter how the pins setting ontop of the other one or if the heads off to the side. It should'nt double shuttle "period".
You need to look at the bin/shuttle/table to fix it for good.
