Ba-Doiiing!

Well, I'd originally intended this to be a question but I've found the answer.

I was napping on the catwalk of a machine, when I noticed a strange noise coming from it every 8th frame or so.

"Ba-Doiiiing! "

After fooling around for a while, I noticed that the Front Filler Pad 000 024 678 had one of it's front ends bent in and loose. So, I guess that whenever a bigger-diameter ball went through it, it went, "Ba-Doiiing!"

I didn't take it out, but I'd wager that there's a big hunk of crap sitting behind it, keeping it from being flush with the frame.

About five years ago a customer has a ball that wouldn't go through the ball door on lane one. I could force it through with alittle push; so I pulled it from the machine and measured it.

The ball was 1/4" bigger than specs and the ball door was alittle smaller than the others. The two did not work together.

I walked the ball up front and talked to the customer. The ball was made by Faball and it was a second that he bought off the internet at quite a reduced price.

So I came to the conclusion that if you want to raise your average and save money, request a second.

Just saw your post about high scores in Toledo. I worked at several houses in Toledo from 1969 to 73. That city was score crazy then. Are they back to that again?

Hey GPS.......i work at Southwyck lanes in Toledo...64 laner.....just curios as to where u worked? Jerry is right this city is score crazy.....we have 4 or 5 houses that have numberous honors scores every night. Its unbelieveable. Jugs, TSC, Miracle Forestview are just a few of the places wehre the scores and avgs are high.
