Re: Cushion

What a waste.....I could change a cushion assembly faster then I could put that thing on.

Try to lift the tail plank up if the cushion breaks in an akward position.....lol...it would not be easy.

Last week I did my once a month with a trouble light......found one weldment with a crack in it....put in one of my 2 spares......I will replace the bad weldment tomorrow.

      Re: Cushion

I too have seen the new inventions from ZOT. I give those guys an A+ on invention ideas!! Great Job. Now if they can nock the price down then maybe i'd buy one. It sure beats the brace i got now. Very hard to hold the cushion and turn a 9/16th speed wrench. With this i can slap it on and bring my air ratchet out boom..done for a year hehehe Welp Ill tell ya this...There sawtooth pad for the lower filler plate is 100%! We got them for the hole house. No more problems with 6lb balls not grabbing. A+

        Re: Cushion

We have a little oddly shaped hook (mainly for installing cushions I believe) at work. Gimme that and a pair of vise grips and I'll get a busted tube weldment (if it's broken at the upper part or when a cushion support box goes) through a league with little to no wait, then pull after they're done. If it breaks at the bottom near the bolts that go thru the plank we usually use some wire or rope and just tie it up until the bowlers are done. Done both a few too many times tho

All I want in life is to turn wrenches and climb around pinsetters/pinspotters again :/

No one needs a repair kit.....come on and do some preventative inspection. If you check out the pits with a trouble light every week you do not need a repair kit! That $ invested into a repair kit could go into something that would make your machines run better or a raise.

                Re: Cushion

Ya, one of our customers is the guy who invented the brace for ZOT. He had made it years ago and finally decided to send the idea in. I guess they liked it. I have never had to put the brace on, so I don't know how easy it is? But, King is right. If you do preventitive maintenence on your machines you hopefully will never need the brace.
