Swapping 30's with 70's
I'm thinking of pulling some of my 8230's and installing 8270's, but I want to do it in phases. The 30's in question are humpback equipped. My question is: Do I have to change out my entire rear frames? My pits are in excellent shape(new carpets, etc.) I'm not worried about installing the 70's in pieces since I am in an upstairs and they have to come up in pieces anyway. I just wanted to know if I had to go through the extra labor of ripping the 30's rear frames out completely, or if I could build onto them. Any suggestions would be helpful.Tags: None

Re: Swapping 30's with 70's
Sorry man, the 70's are really different. You can use the carpet, bounce board, cushion (must change the hanger tube), and humpies. Nothing else is the same. I might be wrong, but I have heard that the prototype 70's had the smae bach half as a 30. One good thing about the 70's is they come pretty much assembled; the back half, the front half, and the ball return mechanism. What type of 30's do you have? I'm looking for a few 5850 motors and chassis.

Toon: I have access to three Stearns brakehead motors, all labeled "bad", but knowing who has them, may be just a few minor electrical problems. They tend to replace entire assemblies because they did not understand anything technical. E-mail me if interested; let me know how far south you are.
