Re: Oxymoron

I don't know if the urethane ball doors I had about 8 years ago were from Vantage or AMF but the ball doors I get now from vantage are not good, the vulcanized srews on them are positioned different than the original causing pins getting stuck in them.
But I like urethane ball doors !

Oxymoron- A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence or mournful optimist or Urethane ball door

Re: Oxymoron

Does that mean they can weld urethane now?

Must be like heating 2 peices of plastic with a cigerette lighter, and pushing them together.....

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I interpreted it as:

Urethane and Door Weldment should not even be in the same sentence. Why would they even produce it and put it in the catalog?? It won't come close to being as strong or lasting as long as the iron ones.

And I agree. When we did some PBL conversions a few years ago, urethane door weldments came with them. They didn't last more than a year or two. I'm tired of manufacturers sacrificing quality just to save a little money.

Aha,
excuse me for my stupidity but my last ball was made out of stone. The last time it did fall on my foot it broke(my ball ofcourse). I WELDED it with my glue-gun..
Can I speak of a weldment now?
Or do I have to call it a urethane ball?
If I can get a patend on this one I call it Oxy-uris vermicularis.

Re: Oxymoron

Um is the weldment moulded inside of the urethane?
Like maybe there is a weldment that they place inside a mould, then pour urethane around it?
Just a guess.

Lampie - if it's been less than a year since you got your unsatisfactory ones, please return them to your distributor, so that they can return them to Vantage.

Magic: that's how I see it SHOULD BE made, but Neither AMF nor VANTAGE took on my suggestion.
