lane 30 blew a sweep capacitor, courtesy of the vantage AB contacts flying out of the little bracket deal. replaced capacitor, changed chassis, all is well.
this mornin 30 is "dead" got 110 to everything, sweep/table/pit when usin your finger to hold the contacts. but machine wont turn on. i have/had no spare Master CB switches (oops!!). so i touched & tied the (#1 wire being on top of switch) #1 & #3 wires together machine turns on, everything is fine. a little later machine will not cycle, i pull the #2 wire off with intention of touching it to #1. as soon as i pulled #2 off, machine cycled, and is still running right now.
obviously the sweep capacitor blowing weakened and then killed the Master CB, which is why touching #1 & #3 together worked, but why did pulling the #2 off allow it to cycle????? & run normal?? ill have a new breaker tomorrow, but was just curious.
If you mean "D" on the circuit breaker with "#2", it could be that there is a connection between D and B or A(your #1 and #3).
D is connected with the ground strip while B and A are going to the c2A-plug(29 and 18???not shure).
This might making it an instruction circuit(shadow bowl.),taking of that wire might have helped you.
This is just a wild guess, don't believe me when I'm at home without proper schematics.
First thing, quit buying those vantage contactor points. They suck! Nobody makes points for AB contactors any more. None worth using anyway. Several replacement contactors are on the market. One of the less expensive is the solid state contactor from bowltronics. It works well and costs less than a full set of points, upper and lower together.
IBA oh yeah, ive quit buyin AB's long time ago. but the round of AB contactors vantage sent out summer of '01 which i put in almost accross the house are still in some. im slowly putting the new styles in. Got most of the sweep relays changed out.
Can somebody give an explaniton how pins 2, 3, 6 are supposed to be connected. I had a shortcircuit there for the drive motor connection because of water leakage.
I have a distributor that is pulling the belt hard to the left in the nine pin position (and possibly 6 pin), but seems fine in the other spots. As you can see the residue and...
I have several Pin Elevators that I believe to be out of round on my XLi's and was curious if anyone has ever run across this before and is so, what you did about it.
