Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
Hey all. How many of youz guys have had success with these rollers? We have used these and they work quite well with resin balls. Although they wrok good there with house balls they do not work quite so well. Any tips or tricks out there or is this just the nature of the beast?

Re: Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
The Murrey kickers have been working well. I have to place another order when I get back to work next week.
I bought some of those soft red wheels that I will never re-order. They self destruct in days!"Gun control is the policy of tyrants"

Re: Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
Hey Guys:
Our kicker roller has been a standard of the industry since the very early 80's. However, in the last 10 years, we as manufacturers and you as the techs, have had quite a chore trying to keep the equipment running with all the new balls. As you and us figure it out, the ball manufacturers make something new and improved. We all have to figure out how to change our equipment to work with the 95 hardness house ball or the lastest "sandpaper ball of the month". It is nearly impossible for you to have your pinspotters tweeked perfectly to work with every ball scenario. Us, as manufacturers have to try to not change anything too dramatically to where the products won't work as well.
One tip on our kickers is to wash them thoroughly with detergent soap (dishwashing liquid is good) and water. Occasionally, we may not remove all the mold release agent on the roller itself. Although each one is cleaned by hand, some may not get as clean as others when doing hundreds upon hundreds at a time. Maybe this may help. May 2003 be a wonderful year for all of us associated with Bowl Tech and the industry itself.

Bill: Sandpaper is not the prob. 95 hardness is Just an observation thats all. Unfortunatly I will have to take one out of a machine tonite because it is getting over 20 ball calls a night. Hey...atleast i gave it a fair chance right?

Re: Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
If we ever get a problem houseball, I make note of what houseball it is, and at the end of the shift, it accompanies me to the dumpster. We get so many seniors donating their old Manhattan Rubbers ,AmF 3 dot classics and Black Beauties it's disgusting. Usually I'll go thru both houses once a month and eliminate the ones that I KNOW will be problems. If I can ever figure out how to keep these humpback belts from splitting on the 5 pairs I have installed, I'll do the rest of the house. I'm seriously thinking about trying a PBL conversion with those ribbed lifelong belts at my other place (when they become available). They look great.

Re: Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
I have always used the round kickers with much success. They last forever, and I very rarely have a ball call with them. They are on all my remaining kicker returns that haven't been converted to PBLs yet.Give me a hammer and some duct tape and I can fix it!

Re: Murrey Mechanic Requested Kicker Rollers
Are these kickers the new blue ones I saw earlier this year, at another center, that look like a gear with six "fingers"? If not, does anyone have any pics?
