    King....Not disagreeing with you here, I understand your point completely. Just introducing a new perspective.

    I have seen a lot of smaller centers who don't have the time or money to have a spare cushion assembly ready to put in, let alone how to put one in. Also, 40 bucks is a cheap price to pay if it saves your a$$ more than once during leagues or a tournament. Also, I do know the guy who "invented" this repair kit and he just made it for very temporary fix until they got a chance to fix it the right way. One day, he decided to send it in, and they agreed to start manufacturing it. I am by no means trying to promote the sale of this kit by these statements, just trying to familiarize you with different situations that I have seen in the past.     Just got the ad slick in the mail.

    Why would anyone want one?

    Have a spare assy built and swap it out.

    Further on in the ad it says it can be a permanent fix [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif[/img]

    $39.95......a new weldment is only $50 or so.
