• Thanks again

Thank you all, because of your words of wisdom I have fixed my coasting sweep on "lane 3" (my favorite), it was a broken wire on the sweep motor plug.
Now it's on to bigger and greater problems, kickers and plastic balls. Has somebody posted something about using belting or ? to help get the balls into the ball return? I have a spinning ball problem on a pair of lanes, the ball rolls in to the kicker and just spins. I changed out the old ball return pad and created a mess. hand fed balls back for 2 full shifts, hard on the knees. Got one of the ZOT enhanced ball return pads on order. hope it helps. Re: Thanks again

I had a similar problem hey just recently, i guess this may sound stupid but have you checked the kicker roller gap to the kickback, when i first started at my center i noticed some of the rollers were at least 1/2" from the kickback. Also one pair of lanes no matter what i did the balls never went back in and i mean never, Adj elevator height even lifted it right up to see if it was stopping balls , no good, changed the kickers, front and rear filler plates NOTHING worked, so i tried for the hell of it using 2 kiccker springs on each kicker arm , and so far i havent been back to that pair since.

Re: Thanks again

A ball going in part way and spinning can be a lot of different things. Possibly your ball lift is to low, or your rail covers are too slick? A trick that we try that works sometimes, is that we push the starter pad down and shim the starter pad back with an old piece of distributor belt. You just drop it in there and then let the starter pad back out. It won't fall out. Good Luck. Kicker ball exits can be set in a myriad of combinations and it is tough to get it right.
