Re: BIN WALLS

    Hey Doc,

Those look pretty slick. Where did you get them? Did you make them yourself?

I think King puts rubber hoses on his.

I personally have never had or seen problems with pins laying over, but that doesn't mean it doesn't or won't happen. I have seen sometimes in the corners, the second pin will lay across the bin stringer. This mainly would cause pin jams and possibly double shuttles, but I don't know if it would cause a distributor jam?

          Re: BIN WALLS

          Wow!

Great idea. We did ours that way, using the lexan ball track we had left over. But the reason we used it is to keep the 2 pin from shooting over into that empty "pocket" and down onto the table. It would happen every fifth or sixth time, so it was hard to troubleshoot.

The MC-2 has taller bin pockets, so two pins lay easily in it.

King hit the nail on the head, those are the 4 pins that cause pileups with pins laying over the bins, 2,3,4 and 6

                          Re: BIN WALLS

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

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
